Mar 16: Ayurveda Dinacharya and Circadian Rhythms

Headshot of a smiling women with light brown skin and gray hair and the text Ayurveda Dinacharya And Circadian Rhythms.

A growing body of research is discovering how circadian rhythms impact our bodies, right down to each and every cellular function. In 2017, the Nobel Prize was awarded to three physiologists for their research on the body’s clock and circadian rhythms. These internal clocks control inflammation, detoxification, digestion, sleep, weight, and much more. This internal wisdom programs the body’s physiological pathways to do certain things at certain times. For example, our liver and gallbladder detox at night. Living according to ayurvedic principles and in sync with these circadian rhythms can help optimize health. Let our clock genes guide our daily schedule (dinacharya) versus our schedules misguiding our clock genes.

This Ayurveda Dinacharya and Circadian Rhythms workshop is ideally suited for beginners to Ayurveda or individuals seeking to refresh their foundational knowledge of this ancient healing tradition.
