Yoga Therapy for Anxiety & Stress Relief


In many ways, stress defines the modern human condition--particularly in the time of COVID. When we are balanced, stress naturally subsides. When chronic, stress causes many health issues--including anxiety--which are epidemic today. Accompanied by physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral symptoms, stress and anxiety have the potential to adversely impact every facet of our lives. Yoga sees anxiety as the call to change a life that is out of balance. While living with stress + anxiety may feel overwhelming, you are not powerless against it.


As holistic systems of well-being, Yoga + Ayurveda provide time-tested means to manage the symptoms of stress and anxiety, while understanding and removing the root causes. By cultivating self-awareness (through physical postures, breathing practices, meditation, self-reflection, relaxation techniques, nutrition and self-care), Yoga + Ayurveda empower us to make choices that support our well-being and quality of life.


This series is appropriate for all levels of yoga experience. In this workshop, you will learn:

  • Common causes and symptoms of stress and anxiety

  • Holistic strategies for managing and removing stress and anxiety

  • Specific yoga postures and sequences to calm anxiety and support well-being

  • Essential breathing practices to calm the mind and sympathetic nervous system

  • Guided relaxation and meditation techniques to balance the nervous system

  • Ayurvedic dietary and lifestyle recommendations for supporting balance
