Be engulfed in an expansive environment of sound intended to realign your vibrational energy centers. Sound healing is an ancient concept, also known as sound meditation or sound bathing. Sound healing can reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, create a deep sense of wellbeing, and promote healing that goes well beyond simple relaxation. During this workshop, come be open to the sounds of the gong, Tibetan singing bowls, tongue drum, sansula, chimes, buffalo drum, shakers, and handpan surrounding you for 45 minutes lying down or sitting.

Intro to Isha Hatha Yoga with Pria Nepal

Thursday, April 11, 6:15-7:30pm, online only

Isha Hatha Yoga is a classical form of yoga taught as a science and technology of inner growth and wellbeing instead of an exercise form. This is a holistic process of naturally achieving mastery over the body and mind, so that you can effortlessly come to the state of health, joy, and bliss. The programs offered here are an extensive exploration of the ancient science of yoga in its purest form which is largely absent in the world today. The practices are taught in a very committed environment with deep understanding of the mechanics of the body and uses yogic postures or asanas to enable the system to sustain higher dimensions of energy.

Handstand Workshop with Chance York

Saturday, April 15, 1:00-2:30pm, in-person at the studio

No matter where you are in your handstand journey, guidance and practice will bring you more stability and capability. This unique workshop from Chance offers the fundamentals of warm up, safety, alignment, and the hierarchy of balance from a neuroscience view. We’ll address common barriers, and introduce several drills and techniques. But most importantly we’ll have fun and increase confidence as we grow together.

Yogic Wellness: Attention & Memory Workshop with Pria Nepal

2-Day Weekend Workshop in-person at the studio

Saturday, April 15, 3:00-5:30pm & Sunday, April 16, 1:30-4:00pm

When your mind has lost its calm in a disturbed state, it can be hard to recollect what you have recorded. But when your mind is calm and alert it behaves like a well-cataloged library–you can more easily find what you are looking for. The same is true for concentration–when you are in a relaxed state of mind, it is easy to concentrate and be involved. These practices are designed and based on a sophisticated understanding of the body’s mechanics, and it brings great ease to the whole system.

Earth Day Yoga Workshop: A Sphere Unto Yourself with Greg Hines

Saturday, April 22, 1:00-3:00pm, in-person or virtual

Earth references the archetype of perfection, wholeness, connection: A SPHERE UNTO ITSELF! We, too, reference the archetypes of geometry to befit postures that dance with the human body's design. There is no such thing as a straight line in Nature (or the spine, for that matter) because life swerves, curves, and bends. This "well-rounded" workshop combines theory, movement, and meditation to envision your sphere of influence and evaluate your circumstances with regard to the forms of the body. Participants will play with wheel poses, plow variations, and windmill movements to cultivate a sense of centeredness and inner radiance.

My Brothers Heal with Chance York

Saturday, April 29, 1:00-2:30pm, in-person at the studio

My Brothers Heal is an intro to yoga exclusively for Black men. The pressures of being a Black man in America come from all directions. Though yoga is an excellent practice of self-care, stress reduction, and mental health for everyone, there are very few spaces where Black men can practice among their peers. This class is a celebration of being Black, powerful, and healthy. Learn to better love the way you are and where you aim to go.
