July 29: One Yoga Book Club

One Yoga Book Club will have its second meeting in July discussing "Healing Justice Lineages" by Cara Page and Erica Woodland. The book club is led by James Orione and our next meeting will be Monday, July 29 at 7:30pm at Brackett Park.

Our book club, Seeds of Justice, is designed to be a safe and inclusive space for exploring themes related to racial and social justice through the lens of yoga and mindfulness practices. Our intention is to foster meaningful conversations, inspire self-reflection, and collectively move toward a more just and compassionate world that is not for justice but rooted in justice. This offering will be held monthly on the last Monday of every month at 7:30pm.

Expect book discussion, mindful practices, and community connection. We believe in the transformative power of yoga, not only as a physical practice, but as one that has the power to transform us individually so we can minimize the harm we cause and contribute positively to the world around us. This is Ahimsa, non-violence.

Shop local and purchase the book at Moon Palace Books.

This workshop will take place outdoors at Brackett Park in the green space adjacent to S 39th Ave, just north of the Brackett Rec Center.

This workshop is offered in the spirit of dana, or generosity. Donations are welcome.
