May Workshops at One Yoga!

Updated: May 8, 2023

Join us for a workshop in May! Celebrate the moons, practice with your children and family, and more!

Full Moon Sound Bath with Tamiko French

Saturday, May 6, 6:30-8:00pm, in-person at the studio

According to the laws of physics, everything in the universe vibrates with frequency. Human beings have their own frequencies too, known as resonances. Sound healing is based on the belief that dysregulation or disease in the body is a result of our natural resonance being out of tune or off balance, due to stress, illness, or environmental factors. Working with frequencies can bring our bodies back into healthy vibration. During this workshop, come be open to the sounds of the gong, Tibetan singing bowls, tongue drum, sansula, chimes, buffalo drum, shakers, and handpan surrounding you for 45 minutes lying down or sitting.

My Brothers Heal with Chance York

Saturday, May 20, 1:00-2:30pm, in-person at the studio

The pressures of being a Black man in America come from all directions. Though yoga is an excellent practice of self-care, stress reduction, and mental health for everyone, there are very few spaces where Black men can practice among their peers. My Brothers Heal is an intro to yoga exclusively for Black men. This class is a celebration of being Black, powerful, and healthy. Learn to better love the way you are and where you aim to go.
