The sacred practice of 108 Sun Salutations is often performed on days that represent new beginnings because of the number's Astronomical and Ayurvedic significance. Intended to build Prana, release blocked emotions and surprise the practitioners with their own capabilities, 108 Sun Salutations is a ritual that all yogis should experience at least once.
January 1, 2:00-5:00pm
Hybrid (in-person & virtual)
The New Years Yoga Workshop is an annual tradition of reflection and envisioning to support our inquiry. Transitions in life – such as the New Year – awaken the human inclination for self-reflection. Any time we return to the eternal questions “Who am I?” and “How do I wish to live?”, is an auspicious time for yoga and spiritual inquiry.
This year we will explore the power of Sankalpa or “Inspired Intention”. It is not just any intention; it is a vow of heartfelt desire and willful determination - A statement of guidance from our Highest Self, revealed through listening to our inner wisdom. By seeing clearly what we really seek, Sankalpa empowers the mind to move from intention to realization by bringing our thoughts, choices and actions into alignment with our Soul.
Plus we have a few regular Sunday classes with special themes for the New Year!
7:30-9:15am Mysore Ashtanga with Phoebe
9:30-10:45am Hatha & Meditation with Greg Cycles: Mandala Flow and Japa Mantra theme
7:00-8:15pm Gentle & Yoga Nidra with Emily Trusting the Process theme
