OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
POSITION: Program Management | Financial Management | Community Building | Nonprofit Administration
HOURS: 20 hours per week
SALARY: $20/hour; PTO; membership at One Yoga
The Operations Director is a member of a team of 4 directors who collectively manage and run One Yoga. The Operations Director implements and evaluates One Yoga programs, cultivates community, and performs executive financial and administrative functions to support the mission of improving health equity through yoga. They coordinate with the director team, Board, and other key stakeholders to develop and realize the organization’s vision and strategic plan while overseeing financial sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Management
Design programming aligned with organizational mission, vision, and strategic plan
Develop and enhance online and in-person yoga classes
Oversee functionality of One Yoga’s registration and schedule management software, MindBody Online
Draft class descriptions and maintain the class schedule online (website and Mindbody Online)
Coordinate with yoga instructors and work with Program Director to identify new talent
Monitor class performance through data analysis and student feedback mechanisms and make adjustments as needed
Manage hardware and software (Zoom, FitGrid, etc.) for online classes
Financial Management
General financial management
Create annual budget aligned with strategic planning priorities
Analyze and interpret financial statements
Manage filing of the 990
Monitor performance to budget
Perform regular cash flow reviews
Manage individual program budgets
Create program budgets aligned with program objectives
Monitor performance to budget
Create invoices and pay bills
Accounting and paperwork
Review and approve teacher invoices and staff time sheets; sign paychecks
Review and sign checks for bill payment; make bank deposits
Monitor and respond to any cash-flow issues
Community Building
Create new connections and promote the mission of vision of One Yoga throughout the Seward neighborhood
Develop and maintain community partnerships
Schedule yoga series with partner organizations
Recruit One Yoga instructors for community partnerships as needed
Coordinate between partner organization and One Yoga instructors
Maintain a detailed calendar of all community outreach partnerships
Create and submit invoices to partners
Oversee community partnership evaluation, facilitate implementation of evaluation tools
Administration
Schedule, prepare materials for, and facilitate board, teacher, and staff meetings
Prepare monthly narrative reports utilizing program data and financial information
Oversee implementation of contracts and paperwork for teachers and staff
Coordinate hiring process for teachers and staff
Maintain all appropriate insurance
Support Development & Marketing Director in the drafting of organization-wide communications
Oversee non-profit compliance; complete annual non-profit filing with the state of MN
Oversee studio maintenance
Maintain communication with landlords
Monitor and respond to any maintenance issues
Facilitate improvements in our new yoga studio
SKILLS NEEDED:
Knowledge of the yoga industry
Budget and financial management experience
Data analysis and reporting skills
Community building experience; outstanding communication skills
Management experience, ideally working for non-profit organizations
Proven leadership and group facilitation skills; the ability to delegate work
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Able to take initiative and manage complex projects without supervision
Able to work collaboratively in a team as well as take direction as needed
Culturally competent; able to discuss social issues in a thoughtful & sensitive way
Ability to give and receive feedback about work performance or interpersonal issues, and resolve disagreements and conflicts in a cooperative manner
SKILLS WANTED:
Innovative, entrepreneurial
Experience working in MindBody online
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Drive
Experience with Zoom in an administrative capacity
