Work-Study Spolight: Rachel Lyn

Now that we are holding in-person classes in a studio again, we have welcomed back our awesome team of work-study folks! Work-Study volunteers at One Yoga earn one class per one hour shift worked at our front desk. We want to put the spotlight on these awesome volunteers, who you've probably already seen around the studio!

This week, get to know Rachel Lyn:

"Once I saw that One Yoga was moving to Seward, I knew I had to look into how I could participate and support this beautiful addition to the community. The mission of One Yoga to make practices accessible, open and in a safe space is so essential and inclusive. After 2020, yoga had fallen off my radar (as I think it did for many), although I love yoga and wellness topics as both a healing arts practitioner as well as being a student. Immediately once I saw the posting about the program, I reached out and began connecting with Kitana to learn more and start-up with the Work Study program as a sub. Within my first week, I jumped on two shifts which was wonderful to get introduced to the space and meet a couple of the instructors and community members. I'm so looking forward to both attending classes as well as spending time caring for the space.

I also work in Seward as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Massage Therapist. My sessions are very unique and I love to grow relationships with my clients to find what makes them feel vital and aligned with their life experience. Trauma sensitive work out of my in-home studio is truly a gift for deep symbiotic healing. I love this work and am honored to meet such amazing people for clients."
