We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization!

Picture
One Yoga first opened its doors in September 2002. When the original owner decided she no longer wanted to run the studio, the teachers banded together to keep it running.  In 2005, they decided to make One Yoga a nonprofit studio with the mission of making yoga accessible to all.  We received our official 501(c)(3) status in 2007, and the studio and the mission have both continued to grow. In 2015, our studio went through even more changes by restructuring the organization and creating a democratically run nonprofit; with our teachers making many of the decisions that go into thoughtfully creating our community.

Through our Outreach Program, we have partnered with dozens of organizations, matching certified yoga teachers with people experiencing trauma, illness, abuse, addiction, and spiritual crises.

Our Mission
One Yoga offers health and well being through the practices of yoga, inclusive of people who traditionally lack access.

In the Community
We strive to eliminate the financial and physical barriers to a healthy yoga practice. Our Outreach program partners with organizations, businesses, and communities, calling on a select group of certified yoga instructors who offer yoga to people who have been historically under-served. We offer classes for people with disabilities, or for those who are experiencing
trauma, illness, abuse, addiction, or spiritual crises.

In the Studio
One Yoga was founded in the year 2000, and has become a cornerstone yoga studio in the Twin Cities. We have 1,536 students, and at present, fifteen teachers lead sixty-four classes per week. One Yoga is a 501(c)3 nonprofit yoga organization that offers accessible health and well-being through the practice of yoga, specifically inclusive of those who traditionally lack access. Our studio supports this mission by offering high-quality yoga classes on a sliding fee basis. Revenue from the studio also helps support our mission in the community. If you are experiencing financial hardship or are finding it difficult to pay for classes, please fill out a sliding fee application. Applications can be picked up in the studio or accessed here.  Approval is based on household size and income. View our income guidelines
