Julie began taking yoga in 1999. She was looking for something unique in a workout. She studied Iyengar Yoga for 8 years, including when she injured her back in a car accident and Restorative Yoga was the only thing she could do. It was then she discovered the healing and spiritual elements of yoga. In 2007, she began exploring other styles of yoga.
She completed her 230 hour yoga teacher training at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis in October 2011. She teaches in mostly Yin, Restorative, and Hatha style yoga with an Iyengar influence. She loves bringing yoga to people new to the practice as well as seasoned yogis. Julie completed her 500 hour yoga therapy teacher training at Inner Peace Yoga Therapy in September 2014, and is currently working to complete her 800 hour yoga therapy certification. She provides private sessions for both yoga and yoga therapy. You may learn more about Julie at santoshayogatherapy.com. |
