Ben Vincent

Picture
Always exploring, Ben has studied various traditions of meditation, mysticism, music, philosophy, conflict resolution and sustainable farming, but yoga felt like coming home. He has studied in depth with Richard Freeman, Aadil Palkhivala, William Prottengeier, and maestro Ali Akbar Khan. He continues to study with his primary teacher Rod Stryker, in the lineage of Sri Vidya. Through these relationships, he has learned that the art of teaching is to inspire a love of practice, for great teachers are always students.

Ben’s teaching is a reflection of his practice. He seeks to integrate the breath and energetic awareness of Tantric Hatha & Vinyasa, with bodily alignment, therapeutics and the subtle awareness and self-inquiry of various meditative and philosophical traditions. He aspires to convey yoga that is transformative, authentic, relevant and accessible – by guiding and empowering students to realize their fullest capacities through the process of healing, awakening and Self-realization.

Yoga has come through the ages as the quintessence of the human search for meaning, freedom, joy and well-being. To share this wisdom as a teacher is both a blessing and a great responsibility, as there is no greater service than the work of love. Namaste.

Ben specializes in private therapeutic work and yogic life guidance. He also leads retreats, trainings and workshops locally and internationally.

"What we seek is within. It is through awakening to our true nature that we find meaning, freedom, and joy in life. This is the essence of yoga."
